Before all semi-finished e-cigarette shells enter the workstation, workers perform an initial screening to reject defective parts with obvious bumps or burrs, allowing only qualified workpieces to enter the polishing process. Operators hold the products by hand and use variable-speed polishing machines for fine buffing, utilizing polishing wheels of different materials for step-by-step processing: soft wheels smooth out fine scratches and injection molding lines on the shell, while yellow cloth wheels provide fine brightening, gently buffing both metal and plastic surfaces. The buffing pressure is strictly controlled throughout the process to eliminate burrs and marks generated during production without wearing down the product’s original contour and coating, maximizing the preservation of the shell’s original factory texture.
Once polishing is complete, the process moves to the manual cleaning step. Workers wipe the product surfaces one by one to remove residual polishing dust and oil stains, carefully checking corners, crevices, and other areas prone to trapping dirt to ensure the entire device is free of dust, stains, and polishing debris. After all cleaning is completed, the products are neatly sorted and stored in anti-static plastic bins to prevent secondary scratches and dust accumulation.
The entire process is manually operated with precision, balancing cosmetic aesthetics and hand feel to prevent cosmetic defects such as roughness, scratches, and dirt from the source. This ensures that every product shell is smooth to the touch and clean and exquisite in appearance, laying a high-quality foundation for subsequent engraving, assembly, and packaging processes, while enhancing the overall product texture through detailed buffing.
